Clare as captured what the butler saw \u00a0perfectly.\u00a0 We think of them as belonging only to the landed gentry However Baxter is not exclusive to one family, he is contracted to where he needs to go. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is very Agnatha Christie like and fnot like her usual masterful story lines. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s quite light hearted and easy to read, with an eclectic mix of characters who require staff at their beck and call. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It it isn\u2019t Clare best work, it\u2019s more a short story with twists that are simple to work out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I enjoyed it to a degree, it wasn\u2019t gritty enough for me and didn\u2019t feel like a Clare Macintosh novel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
