I decided to take a break from murder mysteries and read the collection of books written by Fern Britton. Her stories are based around Cornwall, but I discovered that I actually started reading book four so there was a lot of things I didn’t know but Fern does backtrack over the history of the characters in previous stories.
OK so these books are not in any particular order and are meant to be read as standalone but I highly suggest reading them by published date so you understand the characters better.
They are feel good, nice stories, immersing you in Cornish culture and the beautiful villages in Cornwall. Not the best writing as I found spelling and grammar mistakes but if you want to take your brain out for a while and just read something easy I would recommend Ferns collection of books.
