The descriptive Texan heat and dust was unrelenting with no shade and Simone not sure who she can trust. The race to get her daughter back is only the start, Gillian builds the tense on this race across the Texan desert.
Gillian McAllister has pulled out another winner from the writers bag. This is a slow burn that picks up momentum with tension that will at times make your nerves rattle with the need to keep turning the page.
The conclusion however was a bit to neat and slightly confusing, with no real explanation how the outcome for Simone was achieved without major consequences.
